Guangzhou stays for metro access, family rooms and Canton Tower views
For a first visit to Guangzhou, start with the part of the city you will use most often. Tianhe’s Tiyu Xilu, Grandview Mall and Taikoo Hui areas work well for shopping, restaurants and metro travel. Zhujiang New Town suits skyline hotels, Huacheng Square and the Opera House. Yuexiu and Shamian make more sense when museums, Cantonese food and old-city walks are the main reason for your trip.
These 10 hotels cover those different city-stay needs, with specific room sizes, bedding choices, practical arrivals and reasons to choose one over another. The selection focuses on full-service hotels rather than the cheapest available beds. Rates change with dates, the Canton Fair and cancellation terms, so compare the complete stay instead of treating a headline minimum as a year-round price. Neither Guangzhou South Railway Station nor Baiyun Airport is interchangeable with a central-city base.
Three useful places to start
For a balanced first visit, start with Sheraton near Tiyu Xilu. For a high-floor stay above a major metro interchange, consider Park Hyatt. For Shamian walks and Cantonese dining, look at White Swan.
Four Guangzhou hotel areas compared
| Area | A good fit for | The compromise |
|---|---|---|
| Tianhe: Tiyu Xilu, Grandview and Taikoo Hui | Shopping, restaurants and a metro-based itinerary; Sheraton, Marriott and Mandarin Oriental | Busy main roads; a separate journey to Xiguan and Shamian |
| Zhujiang New Town | Skyline rooms, Huacheng Square and the Opera House; Four Seasons and Park Hyatt | View categories cost differently; sky-lobby lifts add time |
| Yuexiu: Taojin, Yuexiu Park and Dongfeng Road | Older-city sights with full-service hotels; LN Garden, China Hotel and DoubleTree | The same district contains quite different metro connections |
| Liwan: Shamian | Shaded walks, heritage buildings and Cantonese dining; White Swan and Guangdong Victory | An outdoor final approach and longer trips to Tianhe |
For two or three nights, keeping one base is usually easier than moving luggage just to sample both sides of the city. If more than half your plans are in Xiguan, Shamian and Yuexiu, stay in the west. If you expect to return to Tianhe or Zhujiang New Town most evenings, stay in the east. The district is only the first filter: the actual entrance, station exit and final journey home make the difference.
Compare 10 Guangzhou hotels by room and travel style
The sizes below refer to named room categories, not every room in a property. A twin room, themed family room and connecting-room combination are different products. Enter all adults and children’s ages before choosing a rate, particularly for four-person stays.
| Hotel and area | Room to compare | Best suited to | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Sheraton Guangzhou Hotel Tianhe / Tiyu Xilu |
Deluxe king or twin:40 sq m | First visits and a balanced shopping/metro itinerary | Busy shopping district; old-town visits require a journey |
| 2. Guangzhou Marriott Hotel Tianhe Tianhe / Grandview Mall |
Deluxe double or twin:35 sq m | Mall-focused days and an indoor swimming pool | Compact base rooms; themed suites cost and function differently |
| 3. Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou Tianhe / Taikoo Hui |
Deluxe king or twin:60 sq m | Spacious rooms, upscale shopping and longer stays | Premium budget; this is not a Pearl River-view address |
| 4. Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou Zhujiang New Town / IFC |
Skyline City View:61–70 sq m; family room:70 sq m | Views, celebrations and carefully chosen family configurations | View direction and windowside tubs are room-specific; sky-lobby lifts |
| 5. Park Hyatt Guangzhou Zhujiang New Town / Huaxia Road |
City View king or twin:52 sq m; two-room combination:104 sq m | Zhujiang New Town with access to Lines 3 and 5 | City, river and tower views differ; reception is on floor 65 |
| 6. LN Garden Hotel Guangzhou Yuexiu / Taojin |
Premier king or twin:32 sq m; Family Suite:64 sq m | Gardens, dining and a traditional full-service hotel | Base rooms are modest; the outdoor pool lists an adult restriction |
| 7. China Hotel Yuexiu / Yuexiu Park |
Deluxe:about 32–35 sq m; family connecting rooms:70 sq m | Yuexiu Park, museums and a simpler Line 2 journey | Neither on Beijing Road nor beside Guangzhou South Station |
| 8. DoubleTree by Hilton Guangzhou Yuexiu / Dongfeng Middle Road |
DoubleTree double or twin:38 sq m | Beijing Road and central Yuexiu with walks or taxis | A substantial walk from the metro, away from the pedestrian street itself |
| 9. White Swan Hotel Liwan / Shamian riverfront |
Standard:30 sq m; Deluxe River View:60 sq m | Shamian walks, Cantonese dining and time at the hotel | A major standard/deluxe room-size gap; longer journeys to Tianhe |
| 10. Guangdong Victory Hotel Liwan / Shamian North Street |
Yue rooms:30–32 sq m; three-bed option:32–35 sq m | Old-town walks and clearly specified multi-bed rooms | Different buildings and room types; four guests may find space tight |
The 10 hotels in detail
Compare Sheraton Guangzhou, Four Seasons Guangzhou and LN Garden Hotel Guangzhou for Tianhe shopping, Zhujiang New Town or Taojin plans. Choose the area first, then check occupancy, beds, total prices and cancellation terms. A view from a high-floor public area does not establish the view from every room.
Klook1. Sheraton Guangzhou Hotel: Shopping and metro access with fewer daily decisions

廣州粵海喜來登酒店 | No. 208 Tianhe Road, Tianhe District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, 510620, China
Sheraton is a sensible starting point if you are visiting Guangzhou for the first time and your itinerary is still a mixture of shopping, sightseeing and eating out. TEEMALL and Tiyu Xilu station make it easy to separate for an afternoon, drop shopping bags at the hotel and meet again for dinner. Its appeal is the convenience you use repeatedly, rather than one particular attraction.
Deluxe King and Deluxe Twin rooms are 40 sq m. The 46 sq m Grand Deluxe King is a separate category, while club rooms and suites have their own benefits. A themed family room does not automatically increase the permitted party size: choose the actual bed configuration and enter every guest before comparing rates.
The heated outdoor pool, children’s pool and fitness facilities give you a reason to return between outings. Outdoor swimming still depends on weather and maintenance. If a reliably indoor pool matters more than being closest to the metro, compare the Marriott at Grandview Mall.
Tiyu Xilu serves Lines 1 and 3. Identify the hotel entrance after leaving the station rather than following shopping-mall signs indefinitely; with suitcases, check the lift-equipped exit. The trade-off is a busy Tianhe Road setting. If your ideal evening is a slow walk through Xiguan or Shamian, a western-city base will suit you better.
2. Guangzhou Marriott Hotel Tianhe: A convenient base for Grandview Mall and indoor plans

廣州正佳廣場萬豪酒店 | No. 228 Tianhe Road, Tianhe District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, 510620, China
This Marriott is especially practical when Grandview Mall is a destination in its own right. Shopping, restaurants and indoor attractions can form a full day, with an easy break at the hotel in between. Choose it for that specific itinerary; choose Sheraton instead if the simplest possible Tiyu Xilu arrival is your overriding priority.
Deluxe Double and Deluxe Twin rooms are 35 sq m. The 75 sq m dinosaur and spaceship family suites are substantially different products, with a bedroom and a living area containing a bunk bed. Those photographs should not set your expectations for a standard room. The permitted adult/child mix, bunk-bed suitability and breakfast count still need to match your booking.
An indoor pool and fitness center make this a useful option during wet weather. Executive-lounge access is not a standard-room entitlement, so compare qualifying rates if you intend to use the lounge for meals or quiet time.
Tianhe Sports Center on Line 1 is a useful arrival station, with a final walk to the hotel entrance; Tiyu Xilu is another option depending on your route. At 35 sq m, a base room will feel less generous with two open suitcases than a 60 sq m Mandarin Oriental room. Families staying several nights should compare the full cost of two ordinary rooms against a genuine family suite.
3. Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou: More room to settle in beside Taikoo Hui

廣州文華東方酒店 | No. 389 Tianhe Road, Tianhe District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, 510620, China
Mandarin Oriental is the choice for travelers who want to spend time in their room as well as in the surrounding shopping district. A 60 sq m Deluxe room is a substantial step up in space from the standard rooms at the nearby Marriott or Sheraton. That extra room is most valuable if you return for afternoon breaks or are staying long enough to unpack.
Deluxe rooms have a king bed or twin single beds, a walk-in wardrobe and a bathroom divided into wet and dry areas. The circular bathtub and separate shower are features of the ordinary configuration; accessible rooms do not include a bathtub. A 150 sq m two-bedroom apartment is a separate accommodation product worth comparing for four guests, rather than an enlarged version of the lowest room rate.
The hotel has an outdoor pool, fitness and spa facilities. Family-themed suites are also distinct products, so do not assume the bunk beds in a themed-suite photograph come with a Deluxe booking. Include breakfast, spa treatments and any extra-bed charges in your total unless the chosen rate already bundles them.
Taikoo Hui connects with Shipaiqiao station on Line 3, although there is still a walk through the station, mall and hotel approaches. For late arrivals, navigate to the street entrance. Views here are urban, garden or pool-oriented; if the Pearl River or Canton Tower is the point of the stay, Four Seasons or Park Hyatt is a better starting point.
4. Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou: A skyline stay with room categories worth reading carefully

廣州四季酒店 | 70th Floor, Main Tower, No. 5 Zhujiang West Road, Zhujiang New Town, Tianhe District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, 510623, China
Four Seasons turns the hotel itself into part of a Guangzhou itinerary. The lobby is on the 70th floor of the IFC, and the location works well for the Opera House, Huacheng Square and an evening skyline walk. It is a better fit for travelers who will pause and enjoy the building than those who only need a bed after a full day elsewhere.
Skyline City View rooms are approximately 61–70 sq m, with king or double-bed configurations. Pearl River views, Canton Tower views and windowside bathtubs are separately named categories. A city-view booking does not guarantee a direct view of Canton Tower, and a photograph of a tub against the glass does not mean every bathroom has that layout.
For two adults and two children, examine the 70 sq m Family Room with Windowside Bathtub: it has a king bed and a double-sized wall bed, with that family combination explicitly allowed. Four adults should instead compare the 194 sq m Pearl River-View Two-Bedroom Suite or two rooms. Match the exact room name, bedding and guest mix across booking channels before paying.
The indoor pool and fitness facilities provide a wet-weather retreat. Guangzhou Opera House station on the APM is a nearby local arrival point; with luggage, compare that journey with a walk or short taxi ride from a main metro station. The elevated lobby adds lift time to every departure, which matters when you are collecting bags and leaving for an early train.
5. Park Hyatt Guangzhou: High-floor views above a useful metro interchange

廣州柏悅酒店 | No. 16 Huaxia Road, Zhujiang New Town (65th Floor, Front Desk), Tianhe District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, 510623, China
Park Hyatt combines an elevated hotel experience with Zhujiang New Town station beneath its building. Lines 3 and 5 make it particularly useful if you want a skyline stay but still intend to move around the city by metro. Compare it with Four Seasons when choosing between a station-centered base and a position closer to the Opera House side of Huacheng Square.
City View King and Twin rooms are 52 sq m, with separate categories for Pearl River and Canton Tower views. The bathroom has a soaking tub, separate shower and double vanity. View direction should appear in the room category and confirmation; simply asking for a higher floor does not secure the landmark you want.
For four travelers, the 104 sq m two-King-City-View-room combination has a private entrance foyer and separate doors into each room. This preserves two bedrooms’ privacy and is more workable than assuming a 52 sq m twin room sleeps four. Confirm the precise connection arrangement if you need a direct internal door, a cot or an accessible bathroom.
There is an indoor pool, fitness center and spa. On arrival, distinguish the hotel entrance from other building entrances and allow time to reach the 65th-floor reception. The compromises are a premium accommodation budget and the extra lift journey. If most evenings will be spent in Shamian or Yongqingfang, the daily cross-city return may outweigh the views.
6. LN Garden Hotel Guangzhou: A garden setting and Cantonese character near Taojin

廣州花園酒店 | No. 368 Huanshi East Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, 510064, China
LN Garden sits in the Taojin and Huanshi East Road area of Yuexiu. It suits travelers who want a full-service hotel with gardens, Cantonese design references and dining options, rather than a stay organized entirely around skyscrapers and malls. Its character is easier to appreciate if you plan an unhurried meal or afternoon break instead of a single overnight stop.
Premier King and Twin rooms are 32 sq m. The Garden 66 Suite is listed at 64 sq m, so the number in its name is not its floor area. Three adults can examine the 64 sq m Family Suite with three single beds, a much clearer arrangement than assuming a themed double room supplies three proper beds. A family of four should look separately at two-bedroom options or two rooms.
The hotel has fitness facilities and restaurants. The outdoor pool is listed for adults only; families should confirm any child-access arrangements before booking specifically for swimming. In a 32 sq m base room, luggage and children’s daytime needs may make extra space more valuable than an upgraded view.
Taojin on Line 5 is close to the hotel. Follow the hotel’s Huanshi East Road entrance after leaving the station. This is eastern Yuexiu, so the district name does not mean you will step straight onto Beijing Road. Frequent trips to Shamian, Shangxiajiu or Xiguan still require metro connections or taxis.
7. China Hotel: A useful Line 2 base for Yuexiu sightseeing and South Station

廣州中國大酒店 | No. 122 Liuhua Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, 510015, China
China Hotel is worth considering by working backward from your arrival station. Yuexiu Park station on Line 2 gives it a straightforward metro relationship with Guangzhou South, while keeping you in an established city district rather than a railway-station neighborhood. It is also a useful base for Yuexiu Park and the Nanyue King Museum’s tomb-site exhibition.
Deluxe rooms are approximately 32–35 sq m, with a large bed or twin-bed arrangement and separate bathtub and shower. A third guest needs an appropriate rate and an agreed extra-bed arrangement. For four people, the 70 sq m Family Connecting Room combines a double room and a twin room; do not transfer that occupancy to an ordinary room simply because it contains two beds.
The outdoor pool, gym and restaurants can break up a sightseeing day, particularly if you want Cantonese breakfast without immediately leaving the hotel. Breakfast, lounge access and additional bedding should each be checked separately. Travelers with mobility needs should request the correct accessible room rather than rely on a standard bathroom photograph.
Yuexiu Park Exit D 1 is a useful reference for arrival, with lift access to be checked for your luggage needs; Liuhua station on Line 11 is also nearby. Fewer changes do not make South Station a short hop. Allow for the whole metro ride, railway-station walking and security, especially before an early departure. Beijing Road shopping still involves another journey.
8. DoubleTree by Hilton Guangzhou: Old-city outings with a full-service hotel to return to

廣州希爾頓逸林酒店 | 391 Dongfeng Middle Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou
DoubleTree on Dongfeng Middle Road works for travelers concentrating on Beijing Road, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall and central Yuexiu, while still wanting a pool and a full-service hotel. The comparison with China Hotel comes down to the journey you will repeat: choose China Hotel for the easier Line 2 doorstep, or consider DoubleTree if walking and short taxi rides fit your plans.
DoubleTree Double and Twin rooms are about 38 sq m, while some view categories range from 38–47 sq m. The 118 sq m Family Connecting Room joins a suite with a twin guest room and is a distinct four-person option. Ordinary 38 sq m rooms do not inherit that configuration, and a family-themed name does not automatically add breakfast for everyone.
The outdoor pool, fitness center and spa suit a break after a long walking day. Choose a view category for the outlook you actually want. If you will only return to sleep, weigh the full room cost against access convenience; outdoor swimming is not the most dependable rainy-day plan.
Peasant Movement Institute station on Line 1 is an option, but the final walk is roughly one kilometer. With suitcases, heat-sensitive travelers or older relatives, a taxi to the entrance may be preferable. Use the full Chinese hotel name and your booking map pin, since Guangzhou has other DoubleTree hotels well beyond this neighborhood.
9. White Swan Hotel: A slower Guangzhou stay on Shamian’s riverfront

廣州白天鵝賓館 | No. 1 Shamian South Street, Liwan District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, 510133, China
White Swan makes most sense when Shamian’s shaded streets, historic buildings and the Pearl River are central to your trip. Staying here lets you walk before the day gets busy or return to the waterfront at dusk. It is our pick for travelers who will enjoy Cantonese dining and time at the hotel; daily business appointments in Zhujiang New Town could erode that slower pace.
The essential distinction is 30 sq m Standard rooms versus 60 sq m Deluxe rooms. Standard rooms have a large bed or twin beds, city views and a maximum of two occupants. For both space and a river outlook, choose a named 60 sq m Deluxe River-view King or Twin. Neither deluxe photographs nor the presence of two beds should raise expectations for a standard booking.
The hotel has an outdoor pool, fitness facilities and Cantonese restaurants. A restaurant reservation is separate from a room reservation: staying in-house does not guarantee a table at a particular meal. If the view is important, book it as part of the room category rather than leave it as an upgrade request.
Huangsha station on Lines 1 and 6 is a useful route onto Shamian, followed by an outdoor walk and the island approach. With large luggage, plan beyond the metro map. Compared with Guangdong Victory, White Swan is especially compelling if you will pay for a spacious Deluxe River-view room and use the hotel’s facilities.
10. Guangdong Victory Hotel: Stay for Shamian’s streets, then choose the right building and beds

廣東勝利賓館 | No. 53 Shamian North Street, Liwan District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, 510130, China
Guangdong Victory suits travelers who want Shamian to be their everyday neighborhood rather than a brief photo stop. The hotel occupies east and west buildings and incorporates Xiguan-style details. Compared with White Swan, it is a useful alternative when you prefer to devote more of the trip to neighborhood walks, tea houses and nearby old-city sights.
Common Yue double or twin categories measure about 30–32 sq m. A 46 sq m Family Room has a large bed plus a single bed for three-person consideration. For four travelers, check the 32–35 sq m Cuilefang Happy Reunion Triple Bed Room, which lists one large bed, two singles and four occupants. The bed count does not make the floor area generous: four adults with luggage should also compare two rooms.
There is a gym, dining and reading space. Pay particular attention to the building, exact room category and current room photographs, since a shared heritage exterior does not imply identical interiors. If swimming is essential, obtain confirmation of pool operation rather than relying on an older property photograph.
Cultural Park station on Lines 6 and 8, or Huangsha depending on your route, both involve an outdoor approach. For a late arrival, establish which building handles your check-in and use the full hotel name for the taxi. Staying on Shamian still means traveling across the city for Tianhe or Zhujiang New Town; on a short trip focused in the east, it may work better as an outing than your base.
Arriving from Baiyun Airport, Hong Kong and Guangzhou’s stations
Baiyun Airport: check the terminal before choosing the route
Terminal 1 connects with Airport South metro station and Terminal 2 with Airport North, both on Line 3. Terminal 3 has Baiyun Airport East intercity railway station and a shuttle-bus connection to Gaozeng for the metro. You cannot simply apply a T 1 or T 2 metro itinerary to a T 3 arrival. Check the terminal on your booking, then the current connection and last useful departure after allowing for immigration and luggage.
For Tianhe, plan toward Tiyu Xilu or Shipaiqiao as appropriate. For China Hotel, a transfer to Line 2 and Yuexiu Park may make sense. Shamian adds another connection and an outdoor final walk. Late at night, with large suitcases or older relatives, a taxi to the hotel entrance can be simpler. Use the Baiyun Airport to Guangzhou city transport guide alongside your terminal-specific arrival plan.
From Hong Kong: Guangzhou East and Guangzhou South are different decisions
Check the exact arrival station before buying a train ticket. Guangzhou East is generally better positioned for Tianhe, while Guangzhou South is a major high-speed hub in Panyu, beyond the Tianhe shopping area. Start with the Hong Kong to Guangzhou transport comparison, then add the journey from the railway station to the hotel.
Line 2 is a useful route from Guangzhou South to Yuexiu Park. Reaching Tianhe or Zhujiang New Town requires a further connection or a road journey. A South Station hotel can serve a specific very early departure, late arrival or short connection; that does not make the station district the most convenient base for several days of city sightseeing. For an onward journey, the Guangzhou to Shenzhen train guide helps you compare the departure and arrival stations as well as the train itself.
Save the Chinese name, entrance and building before you arrive
Keep the full Chinese hotel name, booking telephone number and map pin available offline. For Shamian, allow for bridges and outdoor paths. For Four Seasons and Park Hyatt, include the lift ride to the sky lobby. For DoubleTree, account for the walk from the metro instead of reading “central” as “above a station.” Straight-line map distances are a poor substitute for a workable luggage route in rain, heat or with a stroller.
Six booking checks that prevent expensive mismatches
- Enter the whole party and each child’s age. Beds, permitted occupancy, extra bedding and breakfast allowances are separate questions.
- Read the complete room name. White Swan’s 30 sq m Standard differs substantially from its 60 sq m Deluxe River View, just as a Four Seasons city-view room differs from a windowside-bathtub category.
- Compare the whole stay under equivalent terms: breakfast, taxes, cancellation deadline and payment schedule. A cheaper first night does not necessarily make a cheaper booking.
- Confirm what “connecting” means. A shared private foyer, an internal connecting door and adjacent rooms offer different arrangements for families.
- Check any essential facility in advance. Pool opening, child access, self-service versus paid laundry and accessible bathroom details can change whether a hotel works for you.
- Check dates and documents. The Canton Fair, public holidays and major events can change the available choice. Carry the identification required for your stay, match booking names to documents and notify the hotel of a late arrival.
Frequently asked questions about Guangzhou hotels
Is Tianhe or Yuexiu better for a first visit?
Choose Tianhe for malls, restaurants and modern-city outings. Choose Yuexiu when the park, museums and older-city food stops dominate your plans. On a two- or three-night stay, a well-chosen single base is usually more practical than moving hotels.
Is Zhujiang New Town separate from Tianhe?
It is within Tianhe District, but its hotel experience differs from the Tianhe Road shopping corridor. We compare it separately because Four Seasons and Park Hyatt focus more on high-floor views and Huacheng Square, while Sheraton, Marriott and Mandarin Oriental serve the mall-centered area.
Should I stay at Guangzhou South after arriving from Hong Kong?
Only if the station itself serves your plans, such as a very early departure or a short overnight connection. For several nights of sightseeing, continue to the neighborhood you will use most often. Read the arrival station carefully: Guangzhou East and Guangzhou South are not interchangeable.
Can I use the same airport metro directions for all three terminals?
No. T 1 has Airport South and T 2 has Airport North metro station. T 3 offers Baiyun Airport East intercity station or a shuttle connection to Gaozeng metro station. Confirm the terminal and the connection that will still be running when you are ready to leave.
Which options should a family of four compare?
Four Seasons’ 70 sq m Family Room with Windowside Bathtub explicitly accommodates two adults and two children. Other directions include Park Hyatt’s 104 sq m two-room combination, China Hotel’s 70 sq m Family Connecting Room, or Victory’s named three-bed room. Enter the children’s ages and check breakfast; an ordinary twin room is not automatically a four-person room.
Does a Pearl River-view room guarantee a view of Canton Tower?
No. City, river and tower views are separately named categories. At Four Seasons and Park Hyatt, book a Canton Tower-view category if that landmark is the main reason for choosing the hotel. An upgrade request or higher-floor preference cannot guarantee the direction.
What is the key difference between White Swan’s Standard and Deluxe rooms?
Standard rooms are 30 sq m, have city views and allow no more than two occupants. Deluxe rooms are 60 sq m and are sold with different city or river views. Book a Deluxe River-view category if both extra space and the river outlook matter.
Is Shamian convenient for daily trips to Tianhe?
It is workable by metro or taxi, but adds a cross-city journey each day. If your plans concentrate in Tianhe, visit Shamian for an outing. White Swan and Victory become more compelling when Shamian, Shangxiajiu and Xiguan are central to the stay.
Which hotels are useful when children want to swim?
First check age restrictions, supervision and current opening. The Marriott, Four Seasons and Park Hyatt have indoor pools worth comparing for wet weather. LN Garden’s outdoor pool lists an adult restriction, so obtain confirmation of child arrangements before booking around swimming.
How should I book during the Canton Fair?
Confirm the fair dates and the exhibition area you need, then compare cancellable rates and the daily journey. Some hotels offer fair-period shuttles, but timings, guest eligibility and reservation requirements need confirmation for that edition. Consider the whole stay rather than choosing solely for an advertised shuttle.
Our final recommendation: choose the return journey you want every day
Start with Sheraton for shopping and easy metro trips, Park Hyatt or Four Seasons for skyline views, and China Hotel, White Swan or Victory for the older parts of Guangzhou. Once you have chosen a neighborhood, compare the beds, room size and walk from the station. A small saving is rarely worth booking a room that does not suit your group or adding an awkward journey every day.
