K01 is a useful option for hotels near its Jiefangbei terminus, with a reference fare of CNY15 and about 65 minutes on the road. With light bags and a hotel near Xiaoshizi, compare Line 10 to Hongtudi then Line 6. Chongqing’s slopes make the final hotel walk important, especially with older companions.
This route starts at CKG Terminal 3. The December 2025 relocation moved the remaining T2 airlines to T3; confirm your own flight details. Ask the hotel which entrance is practical with a suitcase before choosing your transfer.

The listed bus fare and running time are a planning reference, not a promise from landing to hotel reception. Add baggage collection, arrival formalities and walking to the stop. For the metro, also include security, waiting and platform changes.
Metro route: Line 10 to Hongtudi, then Line 6
- After arrivals, follow Rail Transit or Metro signs to Jiangbei Airport T3 Terminal station.
- Take Line 10 toward the city, in the Lanhualu direction, to Hongtudi (红土地).
- Follow the interchange signs for Line 6 and check that the selected train runs toward Xiaoshizi (小什字).
- At Xiaoshizi, choose the exit recommended by your hotel and complete the walk.
The city government’s Jiefangbei transport guide identifies Xiaoshizi and Linjiangmen as useful access stations. That describes access to the landmark, however, not every hotel in the neighborhood. For this Line 10–Line 6 route, Xiaoshizi is the relevant arrival point; your hotel’s doorway still determines the best exit.
At Hongtudi, allow time to follow the interchange route rather than assuming a cross-platform change. Travelers with suitcases or mobility equipment should look for lifts and ask staff about accessible access. If your group splits between lifts and escalators, agree on a specific meeting point before moving.
Read platform information if express and regular trains have different stopping patterns. Before a late journey, check that you can complete the Line 6 connection, not merely board a departing Line 10 train. Your flight’s landing time is not the time you will reach the metro platform.
K01 airport bus to Jiefangbei
The airport’s current bus guide lists K01 from T3 to Jiefangbei. Its airport departure window starts at 08:30 and continues until 30 minutes after arriving flights finish. The same page says a vehicle waits no more than 30 minutes after its first passenger boards. This is not a guarantee that you will reach the city within that period.
Follow T3’s airport-bus signs, then confirm K01, the citybound direction and the next departure with staff. Do not move to T2 because an older article lists that stop. If you are already in the T2 area for another reason, ask for the current connection to T3; do not assume the terminal shuttle runs frequently all day.
K01 is useful if the final stop is convenient for your accommodation and the next departure is soon. If your hotel requires another substantial walk or taxi afterward, include that leg in the comparison. With several people, compare the combined bus fares and onward transport with a full-vehicle quote.
The return bus requires a separate check
The current airport page states that departures from Jiefangbei do not have a fixed timetable and should be checked by telephone, at 023-67910674. Do not copy a fixed return schedule from an older blog. If a bus departure does not fit your airline deadline, choose another way to the airport rather than relying on the outbound schedule in reverse.
Using a taxi, ride-hailing app or booked transfer
The designated taxi rank, ride-hailing pickup area and a prebooked driver’s meeting point may be different. Follow the signs or voucher instructions for the service you actually selected. Match the registration number and driver information before boarding, and keep the trip record. Avoid leaving the formal transport area with an unsolicited driver from the arrivals hall.
For a booked transfer, enter CKG, your actual flight, date, terminal, passenger count and luggage. Use the hotel’s full Chinese name and street address. Count large suitcases, strollers and folding wheelchairs explicitly: enough seats do not automatically mean enough baggage space. Confirm child-seat availability and any extra charge before payment.
Compare the selected option’s waiting policy, delay handling, meet-and-greet arrangements, night charges, tolls and cancellation terms. A platform’s general description is not a substitute for the terms of the vehicle you book. Save the meeting instructions offline and make sure you have a way to contact the provider after landing.
The last stretch in Jiefangbei can change your decision
Ask your hotel for a luggage-friendly metro exit and its legal car drop-off point. Chongqing’s slopes and multilevel roads can make a short-looking map route surprisingly awkward. A hotel may use a side-street doorway or a reception floor that is different from the nearby shopping-center entrance.
Save an entrance photograph, the Chinese address and a phone number. If the hotel is in a pedestrian street, even a private transfer may stop at the nearest permitted point rather than outside the lift. Clarify the remaining walk before booking and ask the hotel for arrival assistance if needed. This is particularly helpful with children, large bags or a late check-in.
Planning the return to the airport
Work backward from your airline’s check-in and baggage deadlines. Add the hotel departure, road or metro journey, terminal access and enough time for queues. The moment a train reaches the airport station is not the moment you reach the airline counter.
For an early flight, verify the first usable metro connection or confirm a car pickup. If considering K01, call about the return departure and boarding point. The official terminal-relocation notice and airport-supplied check-in diagram help explain the T3 layout, but its temporary relocation shuttle times should not be reused as an everyday timetable.
