Where to stay in Weihai
Start with three everyday areas in Weihai: the city centre around Happiness Gate and Weigao Square, the economic zone around Weihai station and Hanlefang, and the high-tech-zone coast around International Bathing Beach and Torch Eighth Street. Central stays favour shopping and urban walks, Hanlefang emphasises evening meals, and the northwestern coast puts beach time first.
These ten properties focus on the urban coast, including Dongshan’s bay-side grounds. Naxianghai, Rongcheng and Wendeng hot springs are different bases and are outside this guide. A Weihai sea-view label does not make all hotels convenient for the same daily route.
Check whether your train uses Weihai or Weihai North before choosing a district. Beachfront hotels, shopping-area towers and multi-building grounds offer different stays. Bliss and Dongshan list indoor pools, while SEAVISTA and University Hotel emphasise coastal downtime.
If also visiting Beijing or Shanghai, compare the accommodation guides for those cities: Where to Stay in Beijing 2026 | Wangfujing, Qianmen & Dongzhimen Hotels; Where to Stay in Shanghai 2026 | The Bund, Nanjing Road, People’s Square and Jing’an Hotels

The hotel shortlist
1. Sylvia Hotel

Sylvia is at No. 7 Letian Century City, with Hanlefang the clearest reason to choose it. Korean meals, evening markets and arrivals on the Weihai station side work well together here. The hotel lists a restaurant, meeting facilities and parking.
This is a city stay built around neighbourhood dining rather than an isolated resort. Torch Eighth Street and International Bathing Beach belong to a different part of the city, so group them into a separate outing instead of expecting both districts at the door.
2. Atour Hotel (Weihai Urban Area Xingfu Gate)

Atour’s Xingfu Gate branch occupies Tower A, Haiyu City, No. 3-2 Shichang Avenue. It suits Happiness Gate, central shopping and urban-waterfront walks. A gym, library space, restaurant and EV charging support a practical base for days spent outside.
Happiness Gate is an urban seafront landmark, with a different rhythm from a beach holiday. Compare this address for repeated city-centre outings; consecutive sand-and-sea days favour the northwestern coastal properties instead.
3. Weihai Baina Ruiting Hotel (Weihai Center)

Baina Ruiting stands at No. 58 Xinwei Road, useful for the Happiness Gate and Weigao Square side of central Weihai. Its panoramic restaurant is a distinctive feature, supplemented by a gym, bar and cafe for time spent back at the hotel.
This suits city outings followed by dinner with a view back at the hotel. For a Liugong Island trip, note the ferry terminal and meeting time when booking, then leave room for the journey from the hotel. An early sailing is easier when transport is arranged the night before.
4. SEAVISTA HOTEL

SEAVISTA is at No. 3-2 Dalian Road on the high-tech-zone coast toward Xiaoshi Island. It fits days combining sea views, coastal walks and time at the property. An outdoor saltwater pool, sunbathing area and parking with charging distinguish it from a central business hotel.
The pool is outdoors, so plan around seasonal operation rather than making it a fixed winter activity. Happiness Gate and the central shopping area are elsewhere; repeated city-centre visits will add transport to the daily routine.
5. Bliss International Hotel

Bliss International is at No. 19 Huanghai Road, serving Hanlefang, Kowloon Bay and Marine Park plans. An indoor heated pool, gym, bar and library space give it a fuller leisure offering in the economic zone, while dining includes Jiaodong-style food.
It fits the Weihai station side of the city without being a station-exit hotel. If using its station-transfer service, arrange the schedule and reservation directly. Torch Eighth Street and International Bathing Beach require a separate cross-city plan.
6. University Hotel (Shandong University Weihai International Academic Center)

University Hotel, the Shandong University Weihai International Academic Center, is at No. 130 North Huanhai Road. An ocean-view terrace, scenic restaurant and beach bar stand out, with a gym, tea room and parking supporting a slower coastal stay or university-area visit.
Use this stretch of North Huanhai Road as the base rather than treating Torch Eighth Street as the only daily destination. For luggage arrivals or campus appointments, plan from the hotel entrance and agreed meeting point; the academic-centre name does not establish access through every campus gate.
7. IntercityHotel WeiHai Torch Eighth Street Beach

IntercityHotel is at No. 194 Keji Road in the high-tech zone’s commercial area. Wood finishes and a black-grey-white palette are paired with fitness and laundry facilities, a restaurant, bar and cafe. It suits an urban base with outings to Torch Eighth Street and the beach.
The beach appears in the branch name, but the Keji Road address is not a beachfront position. Compare genuinely coastal properties if immediate sand access is essential; this hotel is better understood as a practical city base for the wider high-tech district.
8. Weihai Dongshan Hotel

Dongshan Hotel is at No. 26 Dongshan Road near Weihai Bay and the Haiyuan Park side. Its five-building grounds and leisure promenade offer a different setting from Xinwei Road’s shopping hotels. Dining, an indoor pool, gym and table-tennis room support time within the property.
With a stroller or older relatives, ask which building your room is in and how far it is from restaurants and the pool. If adding a Liugong Island visit, put the ferry and terminal transfer in the plan rather than judging the departure point from the room’s sea view.
9. Haiyue Jianguo Hotel

Haiyue Jianguo is a high-rise hotel at No. 177 Wenhua West Road. A spa, massage services, gym, restaurant and cafe suit mixed business and leisure plans. It is worth comparing separately from beachfront hotels when daytime appointments matter as much as evening coastal outings.
The strength is the Wenhua West Road base and in-house facilities, not stepping directly from the lobby onto sand. Treat the coast as an outing and use the hotel’s dining and leisure spaces between activities, especially when daily appointments are in the high-tech zone.
10. Weihai Weigao DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel

Weigao DoubleTree by Hilton is at No. 17-3B Xinwei Road, fitting central shopping, Happiness Gate and urban-waterfront plans. A gym, restaurant, cafe and business facilities make it a useful comparison for a trip mixing sightseeing and work.
It shares the broad Xinwei Road area with Baina Ruiting but has a distinct address and hotel offering. Compare dining, preferred hotel style and daily plans. International Bathing Beach is on another coast, so location should still drive a beach-focused stay.

Making the final choice
Compare Atour, Baina Ruiting and DoubleTree for Happiness Gate and central shopping; Sylvia for Hanlefang meals; and Bliss for an indoor pool and Kowloon Bay plans. SEAVISTA, University Hotel and Dongshan offer different coastal settings, while IntercityHotel and Haiyue Jianguo suit high-tech-zone appointments mixed with sightseeing. Choose the daily route before the sea-view photograph.
