Nina Mall’s 2025 Chill Bear Christmas brought knitted textures into oversized festive scenes. An eight-metre bear stood outdoors at Mall 1, while Mall 2 offered an indoor Christmas setting. A weekend craft market, crochet workshop and seven-stage puzzle hunt added different reasons to visit.

This guide looks back at the historical main season from 14 November 2025 to 4 January 2026. A particular prize-redemption period continued until 11 January; that did not extend the installations or announce Christmas 2026.

Match the activity to the right building and date

    Historical activity Schedule Location
    Eight-metre Chill Bear 14 November–4 January, 10:00–22:00 Mall 1 outdoor ground-floor plaza
Chill Bear Christmas Park Same season and hours Mall 2, 1/F outside Coucou
    Weekend market 5 December–4 January, Fridays–Sundays and public holidays, 12:00–20:00 Mall 2, 1/F
    Crochet workshop 13 December, 14:00–16:00 Mall 1, 1/F near Shop 108
Santa meet-and-greet 24–26 December, 14:00–16:00 Campaign areas in both malls; follow session directions

These experiences had separate dates and participation conditions. A decoration-focused visit did not require a market day. Someone mainly interested in craft stalls, however, needed more than an ordinary Monday-to-Thursday visit.

Bears, tree-shaped characters and conventional Christmas trees

Mall 1’s eight-metre centrepiece combined a white bear, red scarf and oversized coloured lights in a tree-like silhouette. A conventional green tree with ornaments stood nearby. The eight-metre measurement belongs to the bear installation, not that neighbouring tree.

The indoor park at Mall 2 looked more like a festive sitting room. The setting included yarn balls, a bear with a large ball of wool, a tree-hatted character, tree-shaped backdrops and a green Christmas tree carrying red and gold ornaments. Its appeal lay in texture and scale rather than simply repeating the outdoor centrepiece.

For a complete view of the historical tree scenes, include both settings. Daylight revealed the knitted effect; evening brought the lights into greater prominence. Neither establishes an hourly lighting show that visitors needed to wait for.

The weekend market had a local craft focus

The market occupied Mall 2’s first floor on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays within its date range. It did not trade every day for a month. It brought together local crochet makers, handmade gifts and festive foods, including snowflake crisps made by Caritas Tsuen Wan Community Centre volunteers, with proceeds after costs supporting its services.

This was more suitable for browsing individual handmade gifts than expecting the scale of a major food festival. Ask food vendors about ingredients and storage before buying items to carry home. One charitable stall did not make every purchase in the market a donation.

Other Chinachem malls also joined the campaign, but their scenes and timetables were not identical. Nina Mall’s giant bear and detailed puzzle route should not be copied wholesale into a guide to Good Luck Plaza or Prestige Piazza.

Seven stages did not mean eight gifts in one visit

The puzzle booklet required CCG Hearts registration, an app redemption code and collection at Mall 1’s first-floor concierge. Each stage involved 15 hidden codes. Answers had to be checked and the relevant reward claimed during that stage.

    Stage Historical period
First to third 14–23 November; 24–30 November; 1–7 December
Fourth to sixth 8–14 December; 15–21 December; 22–28 December
    Seventh 29 December–4 January 2026
    Final answer and grand-prize redemption 29 December–11 January 2026

The final puzzle combined material from all seven weeks into a sentence. Finding 15 locations on a single day was not equivalent to completing the whole campaign. The booklet also listed daily gift quotas of 15 on weekdays and 25 on weekends and public holidays.

The display and gift counter had different hours; the booklet and specific terms gave 12:00–21:00 for redemption. Participants needed to complete checking before 21:00 rather than assuming that the display’s later closing time guaranteed counter service.

A crochet place came with a check-in deadline

Nina Mall’s historical workshop was on 13 December 2025, 14:00–16:00, making Christmas crochet coasters. Members redeemed one electronic ticket for 500 points, limited to one per participant. Each ticket covered one materials set for either an adult or a child accompanied by an adult.

Children aged 12 or below required a parent or guardian. The terms invalidated unused tickets if the participant had not checked in at least 45 minutes before the activity ended. Arriving near 16:00 to collect materials was therefore not a workable plan.

Santa appearances and music were separate attractions. The past programme included singing, dancing and busking on 20, 21, 25, 27 and 28 December at Mall 1’s outdoor plaza. These were selected dates, not a promise of live performances throughout the season.

AI photographs were different from taking your own pictures

Viewing the bears and taking a personal photograph did not automatically include the AI four-frame experience. The past campaign presented the combined photo-and-voucher offer to CCG Hearts members: HK$200 of qualifying same-day electronic spending on one receipt could be redeemed for a photo session and a HK$20 voucher, subject to receipt conditions and quotas. Its linked terms expressly restricted the voucher to members but did not repeat that restriction for the photo ticket alone. Nonmembers should therefore not assume eligibility for the whole package without checking with the concierge.

Old descriptions differ over whether the booth was in Mall 1 or Mall 2. The specific terms and illustrated map place it near Shop 119 on Mall 1’s first floor. The mall shop directory also locates Matsumoto Kiyoshi at Mall 1, Shops 119–121. Anyone consulting old material should check with the Mall 1 concierge rather than following the building label alone.

The two photo themes involved hugging the bear and a Christmas-tree bear. Those digital frames were not evidence of an additional physical installation for every tree shown in the resulting photograph.

Tsuen Wan West exits D and C3 serve different starting points

The mall transport page gives Mall 1’s address as 8 Yeung Uk Road, approached from Tsuen Wan West Exit D. Mall 2 is at 98 Tai Ho Road, with Exit C3 listed.

Start at Mall 1 for the outdoor bear, puzzle booklet or workshop. For the market and indoor Christmas Park, Mall 2 is the more direct starting point. Follow the complex’s signs between buildings afterwards rather than returning to the station each time.

    Frequently asked questions

Was the eight-metre feature a conventional green Christmas tree?

The measurement referred to the giant bear centrepiece. Other green trees and tree-shaped characters appeared around the campaign.

    Did the market open daily?

No. Its historical schedule covered Fridays–Sundays and public holidays within the market period.

Could one visit complete seven weeks of puzzles?

No. Questions and redemption deadlines changed by stage.

Was Nina Mall’s crochet workshop also on 14 December?

Its own poster and terms list 13 December. Another participating mall’s date should not be imported.

Did 11 January mean the decorations were extended?

No. That date applied to final-prize redemption, not the main display season.
